Chloe Caldwell is the author of five books: the essay collection I’ll Tell You in Person, the critically acclaimed novella, Women, Legs Get Led Astray, The Red Zone: A Love Story and TRYING.
Her essays have appeared in The New York Times, Bon Appétit, New York Magazine’s The Cut, The Strategist, Romper, Buzzfeed, Longreads, VICE, Nylon, Salon, Medium, The Rumpus, Hobart, The Sun, Men’s Health, and half a dozen anthologies including Goodbye To All That: Writers on Loving and Leaving NYC, Without A Net: The Female Experience of Growing Up Working Class, and Sluts. Her essay “Hungry Ghost” was listed as Notable in Best American Non-Required Reading.
Chloe lives in Hudson, New York. She never went to college, doesn’t have an MFA, and sold all of her books without an agent. She is the co-founder of Scrappy Literary where she runs writing retreats and offers personalized support for writers.
